Landnemar walks through a country of frozen soils, empty spaces and minimalist architecture in barren landscapes. Its images make us witness a hostile unyielding environment to which their inhabitants surrender and give in. We open our eyes to a relationship between Culture and Landscape unimaginable for Western urbanites, which invites us to reflect on the human being's need to dominate Nature.
This series is made up by more than 60 images taken in the Northern lands of Iceland during four years. It has been awarded the First Prize of the Aena Foundation 2012 and it has been finalist in the following awards: Purificacion Garcia 2012, Pilar Citoler 2011 and Hasselblad Masters 2011. Its images have been exhibited at the Circulo de Bellas Artes and Jardin Botanico in Madrid and at the art galleries Valid Foto in Barcelona, Spectrum Sotos in Zaragoza, Photogallery20 in Bilbao, El Fotomata in Seville and Diemar Noble in London.
